An explanation

For the past 4 months, I have immersed myself in the Math.stackexchange community.  In those 4 moths, I have rediscovered a lot of my lost mathematics and have met some very interesting, like minded people.  Stack Exchange is a question-and-answer community site, and has an incredible array of tools for archiving knowledge and visualizing performance metrics.

One thing SE does not have, however, is a compilation of what we feel are our greatest hits.  One may assume that the answers (or questions) having the most upvotes are the greatest ones by definition, but that is simply not the case.  Some solutions for which I take enormous pride have either only a few, and occasionally zero, upvotes.

The purpose of this blog is, then to arrange these greatest hits in a central location.  I don’t expect there to be much of a following – or any for that matter.  But at least I will know where my favorite solutions are.
